Immersion Bible Studies: Luke

Rate this book
Journey inside the pages of Scripture to meet a personal God who enters individual lives and begins a creative work from the inside out. Shaped with the individual in mind, Immersion encourages simultaneous engagement both with the Word of God and with the God of the Word to become a new creation in Christ.

Immersion , inspired by a fresh translation--the Common English Bible --stands firmly on Scripture and helps readers explore the emotional, spiritual, and intellectual needs of their personal faith. More importantly, they’ll be able to discover God’s revelation through readings and reflections.

These Bible studies are very accessible for small groups wanting to dive deeper into the Books of the Bible. Each of the Immersion series includes a study guide for use in small groups and the discussions in each book does not a seminary education to understand.

I led this study the past fall. It was the first study with my new church. My opinion is that it is very hard to do Luke in 6 weeks. I felt like we were skimming over so many topics and so many Bible verses that we didn't really study. We did gather together, pray together, read the Bible together. The most powerful chapter for us was the one on being a disciple. We made a list of what we thought being a disciple meant and then read through the scripture verses for that chapter. We found out that Jesus said some different things about being a disciple. Very powerful realization. I do highly recommend the Immersion series. I have done two other studies and enjoyed them very much. This one was also well done. I might have needed to tailor the study more to my group.
