Personal Reaction: Very simple, well organized, nicely formatted book. It does the job of teaching about the season to younger readers, but I didn't LOVE it. Pages had a good ratio or images and text, but could have had more fun and involved elements.
Purposes:
Read Aloud- This would be an excellent book to start off a unit on season for younger elementary to introduce the key elements, such as what each of the four seasons are and the orbiting of the earth around the sun.
Independent Reading- I would assign this book with a collection of other books to a student who is doing a project over season or a particularly interested student who finds the earth and the way it works to be intriguing.
For nonfiction- A great foundational book for students first learning about season in their first seasons unit. It really hits on the basics in a way that sticks for kids.

As the days pass, so does the seasons over time. What do you do during those times? What activities are happening during these changes of the seasons? How does the world change during those times? What do animals do during these seasons? This book would be a great book for any child to pick up to read about the changes in the season and what happens during those seasons.
