There are a lot of good texture books for toddlers--books that have foil, fabric, plastic, and other materials on the pages to allow kids to explore the sense of touch and engage with the story. What's awesome is that this is not your ordinary texture book--it's a touch and HEAR book. That's right. When your child touches the texture it makes a noise that sounds like the animal on the page, be it the croaking of the frog, the zipping of the minnow, or the chomping of the beaver. A touch and HEAR book, what a fabulous idea! Interesting textures and a different bunch of animals than usually appear in board books (dragonfly, crab, minnow, frogs, and beavers). This would be an excellent baby/toddler storytime read!
