MY REVIEW:

One of my favorite things about Elizabeth George is that she can take a complicated or deep subject and make it so practical and easy to apply to your own life. This book is no different.

A Woman Who Reflects The Heart Of Jesus explores 30 characteristics modeled for us by Jesus Christ and digs into how we too can "flesh them out" in our own lives. Each character trait is discussed in 1 short chapter that feels very much like a short devotional. You can get the discussion guide to give you homework or you can simple read a chapter a day and be refreshed by the reading alone. Elizabeth creatively goes back and forth between Jesus' example and applying it to our daily lives.

I personally enjoyed this amazing book and the way that each day I could focus on adding a new thought/trait to my life. After 30 days I saw growth in my life in several areas and would enjoy reading this book over and over again as I work more and more on all 30 character traits. I think this is one of Elizabeth's "easiest" books to enjoy because it is a little more "bite sized" than some of her other books. And as always you will be encouraged by her testimony and humble heart.

This is a must-read for any woman at any stage of life.

I wanted to like this book, but I just could not get into it. For a book that seems to be designed to be a month-long devotional, I found the chapters a bit too long and uninspiring to get through in one sitting, so it took me much longer. I have two other books by this author sitting on my shelf (for moms / raising a daughter), which I won't have time to get to until after the summer, but I hope are better and more practical than this one.

This book explores various character traits that defined Jesus. Using examples from the gospels as well as other Scripture, Elizabeth George teaches readers how these traits are relevant as well as how one can apply these traits in their everyday life. A wonderful book for individual study or for Bible study groups.

I love this book and how it kept me in the Scriptures. For someone’s whose life is always busy, it taught me to slow down. Each day now my prayer is “Lord your will and not my own” May my life reflect your heart Lord.

Es un libro que te confronta y te impulsa para desarrollar en ti características que quizá en ocasiones pasamos por alto, muy práctico y útil para conocer el carácter de Jesús.

This book is written like a 30-day devotion. I really enjoyed this book, but since I am already reading two devotions, I decided to just finish this one like a normal book. I love Elizabeth George and the way she writes. This wasn't my favorite of hers, but it was good and she makes some excellent points!

This was so good to go through the character of Jesus chapters and relate them to my growth or need of it in a given area. It was clear and so helpful.
