The New Thought Movement or New Thought is a loosely allied group of organizations, authors, philosophers, and individuals who share a set of metaphysical beliefs concerning healing, life force, Creative Visualization, and personal power. The New Thought Movement developed in the United States during the mid to late 19th century and continues to the present time. It promotes the ideas that God is all powerful and ubiquitous, Spirit is the totality of all things, true human selfhood is divine, divine thought is a force for good, most sickness originates in the mind, and "right thinking" has a healing effect. HIGHLIGHTS:
1. It is through this process of unfolding love that great souls are developed.

2. The reason why love is essential in a great soul is that love is the binding power.

3. HEALTH: Some of our best doctors say 80% of humanity’s ills would heal themselves if left alone. Don’t eat unless you are hungry. Many of our ills are caused by the greedy appetite that, it being satiated, clogs the body with surplus fuel.

4. The fact is that love is fundamental in every activity of life, not only in the spiritual and mental but in the mechanical and physical as well.

5. Souls are not created great but with the capacity to become great.

6. Tithing is one of the founding principles of financial success.

7. GOD: Take god as your partner in your daily giving. It is very comforting to know that there is a spirit co-operating with us in our efforts to manifest God’s law.

8. Fear is a habit; governed by repeated thoughts, words, and experiences.

9. SILENCE: Go into silence daily at a stated time and concentrate on the substance of spirit prepared for you from the foundation of His world. You will thus open up a current of thought that will bring prosperity into your affairs.

10. Five senses and 2 more: invitation and telepathy.

Really enjoyed this book

As a Gnostic Christian I found the theology behind Charles views to be clear and well thought about. I highlighted numerous sections to go back and research.
