I really enjoyed this book! Paige was about to marry Brent, a man she didn’t love. She was hoping she would fall in love afterwards. He was good at the family business, and they had a lot in common. She saw how happy her dad was when he found out they were engaged. Her wedding became a bloodbath. Her fiancé got shot. The bad guys wanted a bead. Brent said she had it. I decided to pick up this book because I was looking for some action and if you know me, you know I love romance. So it seemed like a perfect combo. Within the first few pages, the action started, which was a plus for me as I have a very short attention span. So after Paige’s wedding got fucked up (Excuse my language, I couldn’t think of a better word). She and Jake, the bodyguard, take off.
