Dear Gatsby, I really enjoyed your story, but i didn't like it, in spite of the end of the story. How can we suffer as much as u got from your fake lover ( Daisy ) ? and how can be mended ? I really can't have the answer from this story ( the story of the great Gatsby ). The story want to tell us two things : firstly, how strong and ambitious, we have to be to reach our goals. And the second thing is, how people are cruel and hard-hearted. By the way, this classic means a lot to me, and all of Gatsby, Nick and Jordan are a good and kind people. But yeah ! life is suffering, and we can not be out of this labyrinth of suffering, we just have to live with this pain and cruelty. I'll give it 2 stars! Thanks F. Scott for this well-written story, it was a good experience and I had such a beautiful moment while reading it !

1920s. The Great Gatsby is a book that tells the story of a man named Nick Carroway, who moves to NY during the summer and meets a man named Jay Gatsby, who lives next door. He finds out that her cousin, Daisy, was actually realated to him.
Daisy and her husband are living also in New York.
During this very summer, Nick, Daisy, Jay and all the other characters are going to be surrounded by lots of parties and love intrigues.

What I loved the most is that we can really see the type of society that the United States had back in the 20s and the type of life people had.
I didn't get too atached to the charcters, which is a shame, but since is an adapted version I think it wasn't really a big matter.
I had a problem in the end because it all ends too conveniently and the characters couldn't care less about the recent events.

I finally got to the book symbol of the "Jazz Age" – ‘The Great Gatsby’ by Francis S. Fitzgerald. For me, this book is a composition about a lonely person: lonely in his luxury, his life and his death.

Wealth itself doesn’t make a person happy and doesn’t give him love.

Pure, selfless love can help a person surpass himself, and can make him go the dark path and push him on the way of crime.

Someone's love forgives everything and accepts you as you are; someone else - dresses you in a suit not in size; and someone's love crumbles at the slightest breath of the breeze of adversity.

Gatsby walked his way with the hope of catching a star. But he forgot that a star often was just a mirage that actually went out many, many years ago ...

Someone said this book and the style of Fitzgerald is fancy as NYC. I really could not understand (maybe its because my impression about manhattan in high school was bad as hell). By chance I was traveling manhattan over the winter break and accidentally found this book in Dan's house, I decided to read this before, while, and perhaps, after the travel. To be honest, I really could not understand it till the last chapter. The tragedy and void coming out from there finally made me understand what she meant at that time that it makes a deep contrast; the fanciness of NYC and internal void in people's mindset.
Anyway I could not deny that I enjoyed this book. Not so impressed, but leaves some feeling that I might try other Fitzgerald's.
