Until this very moment, „The Revolutions of 1989” represents the most comprehensive, easy-to-understand and neutral study about the fall of the communism in the Central-East Europe that I have read.

In any case, I give it 4/5 stars because it was written 10 years before the events and the authors didn't even tried to give some predictions for what will follow in the next millennium; although they got plenty of time to realize that Francis Fukuyama's theisis about the end of history can be easily
