The pursuit for truth continues as the four teens from Silicon Valley Prep embark on another thrilling adventure through time. While searching for their friends, Isaiah and Micky save the lives of two children, victims of a brutal attack. Will this heroic act alter the future forever? For Jax and JT, finding a way home is more treacherous than anything they have ever encountered. Can their friendship survive Jax's quest for answers? Worldviews will be challenged and lives will be changed. " The Truth Chronicles are an awesome way to teach young people how to answer many of the most-asked questions about the Bible and the Christian faith. The book you are holding is exciting, fun, clever, challenging, and very cool." -- Nick Daniels, author of The Gentlemen's Conspiracy

Easily the worst in the series so far. Just pretty boring and felt just like the first two. Only good part was the ending with his dad.

Book #3- THE TRUTH CHRONICLES: THE RESCUE

I had this book done in about 1 hour or so. First of all, the last book was left on a cliff hanger. So to continue...Jax and JT fall over the waterfall. They tumble below, and Jax is able to get him and JT to shore. Then Jax and JT search for their friends, Izzy and Micky. They finally find each other, but on the opposite side of the river. So while Izzy and Micky wait at the top of the waterfall with the time machine, Jax and JT try to scale and climb a 100 foot cliff. Which at the top awaiting are Izzy and Micky. Jax and JT almost become a dinosaurs lunch. They go back home, that is when they bring Christian scientist, Jonas along. Jonas is amazed that the time machine works. The 4 teens show him around. Jax and JT are both Christians, and later Izzy becomes one. Micky still isn't but decides to just play along to get them off her back. Then a big downpour of rain separates Jax and Izzy from JT, Micky, and Jonas. JT, Micky, and Jonas search for the boys. They find each other and make it back safely. And the special suprise...Jax's father is not dead, but rather was kidnapped! He is now with Jax and Jax's mother again. This book ends with this: Jax shows his father the time machine. And he and his father are going to go back in time, 10 minutes before Jax and Izzy came, so they don't run into each other.

I'm excited to read the next one: Book #4- THE TRUTH CHRONICLES: THE THIEF

The foursome of time-traveling friends is back! "The Contest" left our group hanging in a dangerous situation in a pre-Flood world, and "The Rescue" picks up the adventure seamlessly. This was my favorite of The Truth Chronicles books so far, as the intensity of the story was so well-done. When Izzy and Micky interact with humans in the past, are they inadvertently changing the future?

When they get back into their normal time, Jax and friends have the opportunity to get to spend time with their Christian scientist friend Jonas. Lots of good conversations follow, continuing the series' theme of examining scientific evidence in light of a Biblical worldview. Noah's Ark comes up, setting up a story which will continue through the next few Truth Chronicles books.

In this story JT and Micky perfect their hoverboard technology, Izzy realizes he must make a personal decision in regards to believing the Bible is true, and Jax and his family receive a huge surprise. As I said, this was my favorite Truth Chronicles book to date, and be watching soon for a review of Book 4, titled "The Thief." I can't wait!

I received my copy of the book from the author in exchange for this honest review. All opinions are my own.

Best. Book. Yet. I think I enjoyed book III of the Truth Chronicles even more than I did the previous ones. LOTS of action in this one, more time spent in ancient history, and just enough of a suspicion left in my mind when I put it down to make me want to read the next one right away, to see if I'm right.
