I've never really understood why this is called Mickey's Christmas Carol, since Mickey Mouse plays Bob Cratchit... and it's not really his story.

In any case, this is an accessible version of the Dickens classic, shortened and secularized and made more palatable for kids. (Although, I did find the implication that Scrooge's chains would be there no matter what he did--just perhaps not as heavy as Marley's--a little weird. Was that in the original? What motive did that give Scrooge to change if he

This book is adorable. It tells the story of a Christmas carol but makes it easier for little ones to understand. Declan laughed as I did the voices of Scrooge Mcduck

This is Walt Disney's version of "The Christmas Carol." It gives children an introduction of the classic. It is beautifully decorated using Mickey Mouse and his friends as the characters in the story.

The storyline felt really rushed. I think the only way it would have made sense is if the kids had already seen the Disney animated movie. Also, the Adobe ePUB version I read through Overdrive via my local library was awful. The pictures were always out of alignment with the frame and there was no way to fix it. Disappointing.

Not nearly as good as the real thing, of course. But if one must mix Dickens and Disney, this passes as acceptable. Sort of.

I always found A Christmas Carol to be sad. I thought it was interesting how the Disney characters were incorporated and who played which part.

Dickens' Christmas Carol told Disney style.. Mickey Mouse as Bob Cratchett. We all know how it ends, but its a nice way to introduce young children to a classic.
