INCROYABLE Hadley city en émoi et les Dalton à la noce ! Consternation parmi la population d'Haddley City où Lucky Luke s'était rendu pour assister au mariage de son vieil ami, le shérif Samuel Parker avec la jeune Adeline Blossom. En effet, la cérémonie fut interrompue par l'annonce de l'arrivée imminente au train de midi, des Dalton, qui s'étaient évadé pour se venger de Parker et le pendre. Lucky Luke proposa ses services à son ami pour l'aider à arrêter ces dangereux bandits, mais notre shérif, sur le point de prendre sa retraite, déclara que c'était lui, et lui seul, qui arrêterait les Dalton. Parker eut alors la malheureuse idée de remplacer le revolver de notre héros par une arme factice ce qui aura pour tragique conséquence de se faire capturer par les Dalton et de permettre à Joe de réaliser le rêve de sa vie !.

About the author

The Belgian author Morris (full name Maurice de Bevere) is best known for his humorous cowboy character, Lucky Luke. Morris started his career in 1945 in Le Moustique, creating various covers and illustrations. By the end of the 1940s, Morris met his colleagues Jijé, Franquin and Will. These four artists would be called "The Gang of 4", because they all worked in Jijé's studio at that time. The first episode of Lucky Luke, 'Arizona 1880', was published in L'Almanach Spirou 1947, and was later continued in Spirou. In his early 'Lucky Luke' comics, Morris was greatly inspired by animated cartoons à la Disney.
In 1949, Jijé took Morris and Franquin to the US, where Morris met Jack Davis and Harvey Kurtzman, whom he helped with their plans for Mad Magazine. He also met René Goscinny in the US. In 1955, Morris returned to Europe and collaborated with René Goscinny on 'Lucky Luke'. Goscinny wrote the scenarios of over 35 stories, which led to the great success of the series.

4 étoiles. J’ai lu ce livre il y a bien longtemps, quand j’étais enfant; ça ne m’a pas beaucoup intéressé. Cette fois-ci, j’ai plus apprécié. Lucky Luke est un personage intéressant - Parker et les autres, pas autant, sauf la petite sœur, qui était assez sympa - et tandis qu’il y a de l’humour, c’est plutôt de l’aventure.

4 stars. I read this book a long time ago, when I was a child; it didn’t interest me much. This time, I appreciated it more. Lucky Luke is an interesting character—Parker and the others, not so much, except the little sister, who was quite cute—and while there is some humor, it's more adventure.

Kalau sudah ada Dalton Bersaudara jadi lemah hati nih memberi bintang 5.
Lucu banget. Parodinya film cowboy High Noon, ditambah tokoh-tokoh tambahan yg "loveable" seperti: pengurus pemakaman yang sempat alih profesi jadi pengurus pernikahan, dan selalu mengukur orang dengan meterannya agar pas dengan peti matinya. Ucapan paling populernya: "Di bisnis seperti ini, susah menjaga kesetiaan pelanggan" hahaha...., terus ada pensiunan sheriff di kursi roda yang semangat sbg sheriff nya masih tinggi, dsb.

Saya anjurkan menonton film High Noon terlebih dahulu, agar bisa tertawa lepas saat membaca bukunya.

Well its not awefull by any means, its just painfully mediocre.
Many Jokes are just very outdated and slightly offensive.

The main Plot is based on mainly two Ideas. The first is to Parody a specific Western Movie. A Sheriff waits for a Group of Bandits who have sworn to take Revenge on them.
Messes up the Backstory, cause its implied Lucky Luke was the first Person who captured them, because they specifically learned how to become competent Bandits because of that, but Lucky Luke isnt the Type of Comic what cares much about Consistency. And honestly it realy doesnt need to.
The second is a Scene where Joe thinks he killed Lucky Luke. Sadly the Idea was poorly implimented.
The first one isnt much better. The main Jokes comming from it are about the Sheriff sabotaging Luke, becaue he got old, and wanted to proof hes still able to do his Job.
It doesnt come out as Charming, or funny. One Time he nearly murders a Woman, and her Child, so urgh.
And of course a bunch of Mother-in-Law Jokes.

I do appreciate the Special Beer Joke. It doesnt make you laught out loud, but its a nice side Joke. And the Issue is at least pretty.

And funfact, many of the Movies, and Independant TV Shows used Bones as the base Design for the Undertaker Base Model. Its a good Design, but a bit random.

Le scenario, et l'humour qui va avec, sont un peu "lourds" sur cet album.

On attend les Daltons pendant un peu trop longtemps, et les personnages secondaires ont des attitudes "étranges".

Je n'attends évidemment pas du réalisme dans un Lucky Luke, mais au sein même de l'univers de Moris, le comportement du shériff (et même de Luke) sont un peu bizarres.

Les ficelles sont un peu grosses, pour permettre à l'intrigue d'avancer.

Povedená inspirace Pravým polednem. Lucky Luke tu výjimečně není nepřemožitelným pistolníkem, protože většinu času nemá funkční zbraň, což je také vítaná změna.

Dalton bersaudara membuat cerita Lucky Luke menjadi seru. Ada aja kelakuan empat saudara kembar ini yang bikin Luke kelimpungan. Kali ini Dalton bersaudara berhasil menjebol dinding penjara untuk menghadiri resepsi pernikahan Samuel Parker- orang yang menjebloskan Dalton bersaudara ke penjara. Mereka berhadapan lagi deh dengan Lucky Luke dan sempat menembak mati sang Lonesome Cowboy. Ehh tapi Luke gak mati beneran lho! Kematian (pura-pura) Luke hanya untuk mengecoh Dalton bersudara aja (ya iyalah, kalo Lucky Luke nya mati abis dong ceritanya :P). Di akhir cerita Luke kembali lagi dengan penyamarannya dan berhasil meringkus Dalton bersaudara kembali ke penjara.

Well, Lucky Luke as well.
But the Daltons...man! They're sexy! Hhahahahaha
