Quite possibly one of my favorite fights so far in the series, well anime to be honest. Especially from the anime and two of my favorite characters as well. That was a tough fight but at the same kind of cool to read and see.

There are now only few matches left in preliminaries and although till now matches were short and lacked excitement(except few), this 9th match stood apart from all. This match was special because two very strong ninjas were against each other. We saw Gara before in the Forest of Death where he completely blew away those three guys, here he faces a very difficult challenge against Rock Lee.

We see the secret strength of Lee and the making of a splendid Ninja and a Taijutsu expert. The ending of

Loving the series so far. It is so interesting that I don't want to pause and write reviews for each volume.

I particularly like this volume because of the character Rock Lee. He signifies that even if you don't have a natural talent for something, working hard will eventually pay off.

The chunin exams 3rd round is finally over and the winners are told that in one month they will start the final round. My favorite part about the chunin exams is the fact you get so much in depth knowledge of all the other ninjas abilities!! The sad thin about the chunin exams is that one of my favorite characters receives news that will forever change him.

Sometimes I wonder, what would've happened if Sasuke never crossed paths with Orochimaru? would the darkness in his heart have disappeared by staying a little longer with Naruto?

Also, Lee is impressive. <3

Rock Lee is the testament of hardwork and every second of his fight is astonishing because of what he represents and what he's willing to do to get what he wants.

And then there's his deadly adversary who continuously shows us why he'll always be a threat to everyone, including himself.

But the ending to this volume is just too good. The arrival of a character that I have been waiting for for too long!

This is what shonen battle manga are all about - intense fights to the death with jaw-dropping twists, thrilling reversals, and the heights of emotion only attainable by those with the passion of youth burning in their hearts.

We’ve come to know (and like) Rock Lee and learn more still as the book progresses. Plus, there are enough antagonists set up for the Chunin exam to where the intimidating Gaara’s loss here isn’t *entirely* outside the realm of possibility, so there’s some genuine tension t

Everyone finished the preliminary round to the third exam the. The main fight was Rock Lee vs Gara. Lee ended up showing off how strong he was by releasing the 5 chakra gates but gara ended up breaking his arm and might not be able to continue his dream of being a ninja only useing physical attacks

I was excited that Gaara and Lee fought because both of them were strongest revel in test-takers. Lee finally use his final(secret) weapon in the battle, but he was bitten by Gaara. Both were truly strong and the game was powerful. I thought either boy would die. The story was advanced to next step. I thought this book would be funnier and funnier.

一旦、話が落ち着きながら、同時にだんだん暗くなってくる。このボリュームには、ちょっと細かい情報が多かったが、まぁすくなくとも大事な情報だからいいや。

The story keeps getting darker even as we reach a resting point. There was a lot of info dumping in this volume, but it's whatever.

I randomly don't own this volume in English but I own it in Japanese? So I read it that way, which was just fine, except the furigana gets pretty small in some spots where I needed it. The chapter leaf Kishimoto Masashi Life Chronicles are way easier to read in Japanese, surprisingly. I chalk

This is a review of the entire series.

Once upon a time, the spirit of an evil Nine Tailed Fox wreaked havoc on Konohagakure; the Village Hidden in the Leaves, killing hundreds of honorable ninja in the skirmish and leaving many children without homes or parents. The Fourth Hokage (leader of the village) unleashes a forbidden jutsu (magic spell/ninja ability) to seal the spirit of the evil fox into the body of a newborn baby named Naruto at the cost of his own life. He did this in the hopes that

Freakin' phenomenal! Naruto, Vol. 10: A Splendid Ninja is undoubtedly the best volume in the series thus far. The battle between two of my favorite characters, Rock Lee and Gaara, reaches epic proportions. It is intense, pulls at the heartstrings, and ends in an unexpected way. I love these two so much that I take turns rooting for each of them. Thankfully, this is a re-read for me so I know there isn't any reason for me to grieve.

The pairing of Rock Lee and Gaara is well done. Thes

This is another sequel of Naruto Volume 9. In this volume, the battle of Hinata and Neji ended with Neji victorious, but Hinata has a fatal injury. Now that the match has ended, another match is announced; the match of Gaara of the Sand village and Lee of the Leaf village. Gaara of the Sand uses sand from his gourd he keeps on his back for defense and offense. Lee however, uses traditional fighting due to his lack of ability to perform spells like normal ninja, he is a trained fighter. Will Lee ...more

I loved this installment! Rock Lee and Gaara had the longest battle (longer than Naruto and Kiba's) It also explores the responsibility a teacher has to his/her student. Guy taught Lee forbidden skills that ended up being his downfall. In an effort to make sure Lee achieved his goal, Guy gave him the tools for Lee to self-destruct.

There is a lot of brother/brother and teacher/student relationships in this series and the Lee/Guy one is my favorite. It brings up the question about whether or not

The battle between Gaara and Lee is by far my favorite though the outcome is so upsetting! In the show, I was so mad about what happened. Lee is such a well developed and loveable character and seeing his growth into becoming one of the best ninja...even without any Genjutsu or Ninjutsu skills, it's uplifting. Then everything comes crashing down so to speak and it's even more heartbreaking because we know his goal and his need to become the best. We also get a glimpse into the awesomeness that i ...more

The next fight is a big one: Rock Lee vs Gaara. Gaara has been known to be a deadly that can kill in a second. However, Rock Lee is an extremely talent ninja. Who will win this extremely epic fight?

Iknow I already said this before but........IT'S MASTERFUL! THE DRAWINGS ARE AS AMAZING AS MAGNA CAN BE! THE STORY IS GREAT, AND IT EVERYTHING. IT HAS COMEDY, ROMANCE, ACTION, SADNESS, EPICNESS, AND EVEN A LITTLE BIT OF DRAMA. THIS BOOK SERIES IS INCREDIBLE, AND I WOULD RECOMDMEND IT TO ANYBODY AT!!!!

The battle between Rock Lee and Gaara was bittersweet. Unfortunately Lee was badly injured in the fight and it doesn't look like he will be fighting anymore. His teacher, Master Guy, did not think ahead in his training and should have stopped him. The good news- we will see Gaara fight again! Gosh this kid is bloodthirsty!

The rest if the volume is pretty tame. Kakashi steps down as Naruto's instructor because he is wrapped up in the Orochimaru/Sasuke battle. He will remain as Sasuke's instructo

This book is about Naruto and other ninjas going through a test to rank up to a more advance ninja. There are three parts of the test. The first part of the test is a written test. The second part of the test is a survial test and a little mission to bring two scrolls to a temple. The third part of the test is to show off your skills and a tournament. Naruto was assigned to another sensei to train him for the tournament since his normal sensei was taking care of some bad guy. Another person whic ...more
