Neurospeak can change the body, the consciousness, and the very essence of the being. Leading pioneer of consciousness research Robert Masters provides a revolutionary technique -- or body game -- that addresses the nervous system through the written word to elicit changes in muscles, body organs, and conceivably the mental, emotional, and spiritual dimensions of life. He has designed the material so that, simply in the act of reading it, the reader may become more aware and alive.
A biography from a 1962 copy of Forbidden Sexual Behavior and Morality: "R. E. L. Masters, former director of the Library of Sex Research, is a world-famous sexologist and experimental psychologist who, in the course of his work, has also pioneered in the investigation of psychedelic drugs. He is the author or co-author of fourteen books on various areas of sexology. His earlier work on sexual behavior includes THE CRADLE OF EROTICA, EROS AND EVIL, PROSTITUTION AND MORALITY, and SEX CRIMES IN HISTORY. He is co-author of THE VARIETIES OF PSYCHEDELIC EXPERIENCE, the first comprehensive study of the effects of LSD upon human personality, and PSYCHEDELIC ART."
The book´s full body breathing exercise led me into deep meditative physical states twice, out of the blue, without me having had any prior meditative experience. Even more, one time the experience happened while I was riding and reading on a local bus. Obviously, reading in a manner effective for this book requires deep concentration. It was pre-mobile times and using the paper edition.
