The Dirt

Dirt on Dating, The: A Dateable Book

To date or not to date? It's easy to ask that question, but not so easy to find the answer. With her usual straightforward style, Hayley DiMarco helps teens sort through the pros and cons of starting a new relationship. She takes a look at why guys and girls are so different when it comes to dating, how to know if he or she likes you back, and even how to perfect the art of flirting. And what happens when a relationship gets more serious? How do you know if it is true love or not? All teens have these questions. The Dirt on Dating has the answers.

This book is nothing but sexist drivel that reduces girls to sex objects and subservient significant others, and boys to walking talking sex-crazed penises. Don't waste your time. Read a real book.

Not good. Puts guys into a certain mold and girls in a certain mold expecting everyone to work the exact same. Such gender and sexual stereotypes.

This was an awesome advice book! I found it at my camp's general store, and even though I bought it when I was in the 5th grade, and told myself I would "read it when I was older"(like the age I am currently), I read it and the things they suggested were great topics for every boy and girl. It's specific in what guys can and cannot do, and what girls can and cannot do as well. It gives great first date ideas and how boys can turn into gentlemen. It also has a special section on the art of flirting, specific to each gender, and how to interact with the opposite sex. It's awesome! A must-read for everyone dating or thinking about dating someone.
