This is it.

This is the moment that all obscure characters face when they transition from a second-stringer hero to a fully-fledged superheroic powerhouse. "The Green Lama- Unbound" is a force to be reckoned with, and is a landmark moment in the character's history. Any future works featuring this character should definitely take this book into consideration.

What makes the book such an important moment for the character is that Adam Lance Gar

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I understand why the use of foreign languages was necessary, but I frequently found myself trying to decipher what they were saying, or trying to skip the foreign symbols and losing my place. I also feel that I would have enjoyed the book much more if I had read the previous ones. They were mentioned frequently and it wasn't so bad that you were completely lost if you didn't read them, but it's definitely strongly recommended because it gets a bit confusing if you ...more

The Nazis have a crazy idea. They want to summon mighty Cthulhu and rule the world. But how do they plan to control the ultimate evil once it arrives? "It's not a matter of control," says one, "it's a matter of common goals." Yikes! To the rescue: The Green Lama, Master of the Mystic Arts.

Full disclosure: I went to college with the author. I came into this novel without being really familiar with the Green Lama, knowing only that he was a pulp comic hero. This novel appealed to me because of my interest in superhero stories as well as old school pulp dramas (generally in radio and tv) like The Shadow and even Perry Mason. I was not disappointed and didn't feel as if I missed anything by coming in cold, especially since The book gives a never before seen look into The Green Lama's ...more

It was an interesting story and the flashbacks worked well. However, there were too many nods to other popular culture icons. In a couple of instances, they were glaring enough they took me out of the story. Also, uses of modern slang (i.e. 'back in the day') were jarring to me. Still, it was enjoyable and I wouldn't tell anyone not to read it for these reasons.
