3.5 stars (rounded down because of the cheesy ending).

This is still a world-design-centric story, and the world design is pretty good. The characters have a bit more depth, but it's still a shallow stream. And the plot is routine. At least the mouse hardly shows up.

The book also gets a boost from this not being an endless story. While the end of the story is weak, there is an end, which is rather rare in LitRPG.

I don't mind having spent the time to read this. If it were any longer, it would be too long, though. The series is not precisely recommended, but it's entertaining enough.

While the audiobook narration was good, I recommend reading the print. It's easier to get a handle on the class shift mechanics and dig into the stats.

The wrap up was okay. Plot armor was present in key points, and a lot of explaining was done in the final installment. Progression would have been better if most of the explanations were done in #2 and left the space in #3 for active sequences to tie up the story line.

Diving into the next book! Book rampage! WOO!

Good enough ending for a GameLit trilogy.
The ending seemed rushed and even if it was telegraphed since the first book, with only 10 chapters before ending, it still felt like a slow burn.

There's a strong contrast that didn't serve The book well, between the Y/A topics (and mature elements) and the gore present throughout. It doesn't click, either go all in or keep it light and fluffy.

I might just read other books from Sean Oswald.

An absolutely fantastic ending to the trilogy.
The 5stars is specifically for those already invested.
We learn the final core details of this world; some background on the gambler; and a satisfying end. Many emotions and levels to it.

While overall the series is a base of a litrpg/isek it has excellent execution of the system and its purpose.

I am sad to not be able to return to this world in another entry.

Great wrap up to the trilogy, and so refreshing that it wasn't dragged out forever. Had to ding a star because there were sooo many spelling/grammar/punctuation errors that were just wrong enough to make me have to think about what was trying to be said rather than the story.

This series easily could have been a quadrilogy and not had what felt to me like a sudden and anticlimactic ending. The genre is usually long and drawn out, so maybe I should feel lucky. A quality series nonetheless. 👍🏽👍🏽

This was a well paced and good ending. I was worried that this wasn't going to end or end on a bad note. However the action in this book was the same pace as the other two in the series.
