This book featured many helpful strategies and templates for professional writing. I used it for my technical writing class and I enjoyed reading it. The writing templates were carefully thought-out and provided detailed explanations. Their example pages were also very handy and I often referred to my book when I was completing my own assignments for the class. The book had an easy to use format and still felt like it was packing a lot of information in each chapter without being overburdening. The page layout was engaging too. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who wants to improve their writing in the workplace.

This is an excellent sourcebook for people wishing to improve workplace writing skills. It features how-to sections and sample documents for different types of business communications (from various styles of letters, memos, resumes, powerpoints, instructions, meeting agendas, brochures, etc.), as well as chapters on pre-writing, organizing, assessing audience and purpose, and researching. This is the sort of textbook that is not only useful for students, but might potentially be used as an office and job resource for years after graduation.
