One of my main complaints after reading the first book in the Maldito Series, Emmy's Song, was that character development in general and Emmy and Cale's relationship in particular was rushed and not well fleshed out. In the second book, Emmy's Heart, we get all of that and then some.
For Emmy a lot happened in a relatively short period of time in the first book; a new boy moved to the area, her best friend was killed and vampires turned out to be real. Not only that but she was the cure for the M ...more

Emmy's Heart, the second edition in the Maldito series, takes readers back into the lives of Emmy, Cale, and Chris as they seek to understand more about Emmy's role within the Maldito society. As soon as I was finished with Emmy’s Song, I had to pick up the next installment. I just could not sleep until I finished both books. I had to know what happened next, that’s how these books will entrap you. This story has all you can find in a romance story and more. It has endearing love, comedy, action, suspense and much much more. There are love scenes which are not explicit and I thought that the author did an amazing job at captivating that part. Wow.
I started reading this book immediately after I read "Emmy's Song" and I'm so glad I did, I haven't been able to stop reading.
This is such a wonderful sequel and I find it's 100% better than "Emmy's Song"- if that's at all possible!
The storyline, the continuation of the characters and the complex yet understandable plot really kept me involved and immersed in the book.
I loved the songs mentioned and have downloaded the majority of them!
