Diesel Nuts Benjamin E. Jenkins
William Williams grew up in racist rural Kentucky. He came to be known as "Diesel Nuts" to the locals. "Diesel" because of his love of diesel engines, and "Nuts" because of his psyche. Diesel wasn't clinically crazy. At least that's what the city doctors told his mother when the boy was young. He was just extremely aloof with a pesky stutter. Diesel got his smokey good looks from his deadbeat dad, but he got his motoring skills from his Uncle Jesse. Shunned and bullied as a kid, Diesel enlisted in the Army immediately after high school. While in the Army, he meets and falls in love with Malane Morrison, a beautiful African American officer. Returning home after the war, Diesel joins the local law enforcement as an Interceptor. In a time when gas prices have skyrocketed beyond the means of most, electric cop cars are no match for the delinquents' souped-up crotch rockets and backyard hotrods-modified to run hot and fast on illegal moonshine. The Interceptors are often the last resort to counter the rising crime.

Heart-stopping, and exciting, Diesel Nuts gives its readers a great time!

I couldn't put this book down, as the scenes and characters were incredibly compelling. This book by Benjamin Jenkins is relatively short. But with its less than a hundred pages, you’ll be engrossed in every twist and turn and become hopeful for a sequel.

Benjamin tells this story of Diesel Nuts in an unprecedented time and place. The world is in recession. One of the necessities that are heavily affected is gas prices. It becomes impossible to buy, thus, making it reserved for government vehicles. Robots have replaced many workers, and everything is in chaos. The future isn’t looking good for the State of Kentucky. Rising from the tumult is an ordinary kid with extraordinary skills in diesel. Thanks to his uncle Jesse who nurtured him and taught him a lot about engines. While working as an interceptor, Diesel’s job has become extremely challenging. He needs to face unforeseen dangers and ruthless people who have deep grudges against the government. As an interceptor in the ATOC with extreme skills, Diesel becomes the focal point of the enemies' nefarious plans.

The realistic approach of the author in recounting his main character’s tale has made Diesel all the more tangible and relatable to the readers. This deep sense of connection with the protagonist enamored me in the book as I felt like I was also going through what Diesel was going through.

This concise and riveting book is a must-read for enthusiasts of engines, action, hot pursuits, and romance. The protagonist, Diesel Nuts, emerges as a force to be reckoned with in his rural Kentucky town as an Interceptor battling crime. Despite facing discrimination and bigotry while growing up, Diesel is committed to bringing about a positive change in his community. His passion for diesel engines and remarkable driving skills prove to be valuable assets in his role as a law enforcement officer.

The most admirable aspect of the book is Diesel's relationship with Malane Morrison, a striking African American officer. It demonstrates his ability to see beyond racial barriers and judge people based on their character. Their love story is a testament to the fact that love is boundless and can conquer all obstacles, even in the face of adversity.

Benjamin skillfully captivates readers by expertly crafting a narrative that seamlessly blends excitement, thrill, and suspense, along with a good dose of heart-pumping action. The unexpected twist at the end leaves readers hanging and hungry for more. All in all, this book is a literary masterpiece that is not only enjoyable but also thought-provoking. It leaves a lasting impression on the reader's mind and is difficult to put down once started.

In my experience, books are more than just mere words on paper - they are a reflection of the author's soul. In the case of Diesel Nuts, Benjamin Jenkins pours his heart and soul into every page, creating a masterpiece that is nothing short of extraordinary. Every sentence is expertly crafted to transport readers into a world that is both captivating and believable.

The characters are so richly developed that they feel like real people, and the intense conflict between the criminals and the lawmen kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the entire book. The twist at the end was unexpected and heart-wrenching, leaving me emotionally shaken in the best possible way.

Jenkins' words flow smoothly and are entirely relatable, even in today's fast-paced world. As someone who also struggles with a disability, I was deeply moved by the way Jenkins tackled this sensitive topic with such grace and authenticity. He masterfully weaves an action-packed and emotionally charged narrative that delivers a powerful message of humanity to the world.

In short, Diesel Nuts is a must-read for anyone who loves a good story. It is a testament to the power of the written word to move and inspire readers on a deep and meaningful level. Jenkins has created a masterpiece that will stay with me long after I've turned the final page.

The book "Diesel Nuts" was a delightful surprise, exceeding all my expectations. It follows a talented yet disabled young man and his friends as they navigate an entertaining and action-packed story. The plot revolves around a fierce conflict between criminals and law enforcement, with Paducah's ATOC at the center of it all. Despite Diesel's military training, not everyone in the town is happy with Diesel's presence on the force. Some of the locals view him as an outsider, and his relationship with Malane only adds to the tension. Diesel and Malane face discrimination and prejudice, both from the community and from some of their colleagues. In the end, Diesel proves himself to be a valuable member of the force and a respected member of the community. His determination and courage inspire those around him, and his love for Malane gives him the strength to overcome any obstacle.

The author's writing skills and passion for the story shine through, resulting in an engaging and thrilling read that kept me on the edge of my seat throughout. The action scenes were particularly well-done, making "Diesel Nuts" one of the best books I have read in this genre. I do not doubt that the book will be a great success, given the author's obvious talent and dedication to the craft.

One thing that I truly loved about this book is that the building of the plot is quite amazing. The most exciting part is that the twists and turns of the plot look very real and believable. This is because this book is backdropped by real knowledge of engines, vehicles, and technology.

Diesel's reputation as a tough but fair Interceptor quickly spreads among his colleagues and the criminals that he had been eyeing. Diesel is not one to shy away from a challenge. He persists in giving his job his all, even when faced with overwhelming odds. His military training and self-made rapport with his high-ranking officers made him valuable and the center of focus with the villains while his unique skill set despite his stuttering disability only adds fuel to the fire. In the end, Diesel proves his worth as both an officer and a member of the community, earning the respect of those who once saw him as an outsider. His determination and bravery inspire those around him.

But I’m not going to give any of the plot for it becomes a spoiler alert and may reveal key plot details or other information that could spoil other readers’ enjoyment. I’ll let the readers read and discover them for themselves and be enthralled by the good points this book has to offer.

While reading this compelling short book, I was blown away by its characters and conversations. The dialogues become alive as the author perfectly delivers one of the most intense police chase, high-speed vehicle race, unique romance, and engaging plot.

The theme of the novel fosters heavily important lessons: disabilities are not hindrances to success. The year is 2032, and Kentucky is not looking great. The economy had collapsed and robots had replaced workers. Gas prices is extremely high, and is impossible to buy. Rising from the tumult is a normal kid with extraordinary talent and skills for engines. His enlistment in the army helped him become more of the main character of the story. Diesel Nuts has a stuttering problem, and he becomes often the clown of the ATOC task force. However, a great twist made him the hero of the whole State of Kentucky.

This book does not promise a happy ending, but a good and engaging story with dynamic characters. With that, this becomes hard to put down. I never regretted reading it, the complexity of the story keeps you on the edge of your seat. I finished this book in one sitting. The author is undoubtedly a genius in this.

A youth born with talent, his gang, and a good entertaining short book, Diesel Nuts delivered beyond what I could have imagined.

In an intense clash between criminals and police, justice is yet to be served once more. Paducah’s Advanced Tactical Operations Center, or ATOC, is the state’s premier law enforcement nucleus but its full capabilities are shrouded in conspiracy. Diesel has worked with ATOC to catch criminals, and fix engines. However, as the conflict intensified, despite Diesel’s military training, he is no match for Sargent Chapo. The murder of anyone who gets in his way means nothing to him, mere collateral damage to his nefarious plan. Diesel and the rest of the team must need to trust their skills and teamwork to bring an end to this controversy.

Overall, the author delivers some of the best action-packed scenes that I have ever read, and I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. You could really tell that this book was written with skills, and passion and I’m sure it will pay off very well.

This a highly readable short book for those people who are into engines, action, hot pursuits, and romance.

As an Interceptor, Diesel Nuts becomes a formidable force in the fight against crime in his rural Kentucky town. Despite the racism and prejudice he faced growing up, Diesel is determined to make a positive difference in his community. His love for diesel engines and motoring skills prove to be valuable assets in his work as a law enforcement officer. And the best thing that I love the most about this book is Diesel's relationship with Malane Morrison, a beautiful African American officer, is a testament to his ability to see beyond racial barriers and judge people based on their character. Their love story is a reminder that love knows no boundaries, and that even in the face of adversity, it can conquer all.

Benjamin captivates his readers by expertly weaving a web of excitement and thrill, a dash of the heart of thumps, and a couple of well-placed suspense and action, and based on the cliffhanger at the end, it was simply hard to top.

If you are looking for a book that has the ability to ignite your excitement and tear your heart apart, then look no further. Right from the beginning, the first chapters draw me immediately into the main conflict and characters of the story. The author has depicted such a perfectly insane, ruthless villain and matched it with a very dynamic, born-with-disability but a talented main character named Diesel Nuts. The contrast between these two main players of the book is one of the highlights that prove this book to be intriguing and thought-provoking.

Despite the book’s brevity, there’s so much going on with the plot and the twist at the end won’t leave you hanging. Surely, Benjamin has mastered the art of his novel. I was in awe of his knowledge of engines and cutting-edge technologies that reading feels like watching a movie. The details and descriptions in the narrative are absolutely brilliant and everything beautifully comes to life. Watch out for a very heart-breaking twist at the end. I love it!

The best thing about Diesel Nuts is that there’s nothing to dislike about this book. It perfectly and creatively recounts the life story of Diesel Nuts (William Williams) as to how he manages to face his bullies and enemies and becomes a true image of a hero.

Diesel grew up without a father. He was raised by his uncle who works as a mechanic for diesel engines. His exposure to his uncle’s job taught him a lot about engines. While he develops unique skills and talent with engines, Diesel has a stuttering disability. Working as an interceptor wasn’t easy for Diesel but his military training helped him do his job. While the town was in chaos due to the extremely high prices of gas and conflicts, Diesel found peace and purpose after meeting Malane. But both were faced with danger as they tried to fight off criminals.

Because I am not into happy endings, I got so engrossed by the plot, the denouement is timeless. And I believe that it’s going to leave a long-lasting impression on both minds and hearts of the readers. A great and suspenseful book to read!

Diesel Nuts is an exceptional book that leaves no room for criticism. It masterfully narrates the life story of its main character, Diesel Nuts as he overcomes his bullies and enemies to become a genuine hero.

Diesel Nuts had to grow up without a father and instead was raised by his uncle, who worked as a diesel engine mechanic. Through his uncle's profession, Diesel learned valuable insights about engines. However, Diesel had a stuttering disability, which made his work as an interceptor difficult. Fortunately, his military training helped him to excel at his job. In the midst of turmoil caused by high gas prices and conflicts in town, Diesel found solace and purpose in his encounter with Malane. But their attempts to combat criminals put them in jeopardy.

Even though I'm not fond of happy endings, I was thoroughly engaged in the storyline of Diesel Nuts, and the conclusion is unforgettable. I'm convinced that it will leave a long-lasting impression on readers' hearts and minds. This book is an exceptional and thrilling read that I highly recommend.

Diesel Nuts is a captivating and stimulating narrative that can stir up sentiments and reflections in even the most disengaged of readers. The book is a fast-paced blend of action and romance that delves into shattering barriers and surmounting challenges. What I found most gripping about it was the unexpected tragedy that occurs towards the end.

Despite struggling with a stuttering disability, he found strength in his knowledge and proficiency in fixing engines, which he inherited from his uncle Jesse. These skills propelled him to a high-ranking position in the military.

The story takes readers on an adrenaline-fueled ride through a high-stakes world of international intrigue, where Diesel and his partner Malane must confront ruthless criminals and other perilous threats.

The protagonist, William Williams, was born with disabilities and exceptional skills, which he cultivated while spending time in his uncle's garage. Funny, action-packed, engaging, and dynamic: with eloquent prose that brings to life realistic and hard-to-put-down characters and plot.

Everything was under control until they come to realize that not everyone is who or what they appear to be. 24 hours before the lab test, ATOC’s laptop had been stolen and becomes a key factor for the main characters’ success or failure.

Benjamin Jenkins writes in a mesmerizing style that keeps the readers’ eyes glued to the pages and their souls bonded to the characters. Perhaps the fact that it covers so many societal issues in our justice system of today, is one of the highlights of the book. The action was heart-stopping and was peppered with romance and drama.

While this is a relatively short book, this is something that you would want to take your time reading to savor all the action and drama.

This one becomes a page-turner, action-romance novel that looks into breaking barriers, and overcoming obstacles. The most exciting part of it for me is the unexpected tragedy in the end.

While his stuttering disability often resulted in his embarrassment, his knowledge, and skills for fixing and repairing engines which he got from his uncle Jesse become his asset and promotion as high ranking officer. The beauty of Diesel Nuts by Benjamin Jenkins lies in its perfect blend of action, thrill, drama, and realizations. I totally enjoyed the author’s deep perspective and knowledge of engines, armaments, and military concepts. His characters come to life through explicit descriptions as well as their interactions with each other. The tone in which the whole story was being narrated was dire and action-packed with just the perfect amount of brooding undertones accentuated by the meticulous choice of vocabulary that made the readers aware of the seriousness of the situation.

I like the ending, and though there were murders and confessions, the ending is timeless. I read this novel like someone thirsting for water after days in the desert sun—voraciously ingesting the pages as quickly as I could to reach the stunning ending.

The novel is set in a dystopian future where both Kentucky and the rest of the world are experiencing a severe economic downturn, leading to a rise in crime. Diesel Nuts is an interceptor for ATOC in Paducah, and as his job becomes increasingly difficult, he and his pregnant wife, Malane, are faced with a life-or-death situation.

However, despite the challenges they faced, they remained hopeful for the success of the lab test that could finally put an end to the never-ending crimes in Kentucky. Yet, just when you think you have the ending figured out, the author throws in a series of unexpected twists and turns. The well-developed characters and advanced technologies contribute to the depth and richness of the plot, making it a captivating read. It will be fascinating to see how Diesel will be able to save her wife and the rest of the team at the ATOC facility and catch the culprit.

An action-filled novel that is surely going to have you at the edge of your seat the whole time. Because of its compelling scenes and well-drawn characters, I finished this book in just one sitting.

This is a book that delivers one of the most outstanding endings. Diesel, the Double D boys, Chief Bronson, and the rest of the ATOC must need to work together to find and catch the people behind the attack on the test lab.

The only qualm I have for this book is that everything came at you fast and hard, not really giving you a chance to sit with it in the end. There was only so much you could do with the major stakes of the book, only so much that you could take in at a time. As such, it didn’t quite stick the landing, despite a spectacular attempt to do so.

An exciting and enthralling novel by a talented author. It’s a book that proves, justice always prevails with a surprising twist. All this and more. To anyone who enjoys deep-action and thrillers, I challenge you to read chapter one and not be absolutely enthralled by the writing. Isn’t it impossible not to be enthralled by it? We don’t frequently come across a book with a story that can both move you to your core and stun you with amazing writing. A novel like Diesel Nuts, can’t be not loved or hated because of its beautiful storyline. I’ll just say, Benjamin Jenkins, you did a fantastic job. Just when you think you’ve got the end in your mind, the author throws in unexpected twists and turns like crazy. A great read, definitely

Set in a dystopian future, the whole state of Kentucky and the rest of the world is in a great recession. With that, crimes have become inevitable which leads Diesel Nuts into working as an interceptor at ATOC in Paducah. And when his job becomes extremely difficult, it was do or die for Diesel and Malane, his pregnant wife.

Overall, many times, I felt so engrossed in the narrative that I couldn’t help but breathe deep sighs and exclaimed a few “aha!” of the characters whom I learned to admire.

I love how the main characters’ problems and experiences are not exaggeratedly dramatic but have just the perfect amount of action and emotion to be realistic. The book kept me captivated from beginning to end, eyes glued to every page. Strongly recommended!
