Summary: The students in the book go on a field trip to an apple orchard and learn about how apples grow, how they are picked, and what they are used for.

Illustrations: Support the text and help the reader to better understand how apples grow on the trees. The illustrations help show the development and changes of the apple tree from spring to autumn.
Additional Comments: This book would be great to use during an informational unit about apples. It would be perfect to read if the students were able to go on a field trip to an apple orchard. May want to incorporate an activity with apples such as making applesauce or looking at the seeds inside an apple.
