Review by Valerie:

Oh, did I love this book...from the beginning to the end! When Tim calls his sister, Elise, to tell her their mom is shacked up with a younger guy, the fun started. I laughed so much when she gets to town and indeed, the younger guy is staying with her mom AND they are whispering and sharing knowing glances. The history between Elise and her mom’s boytoy is too much for her to handle and I had so much fun reading about her reactions while getting glimpses into their past.

Kentucky Blues is the first novel I have read by Cat Shaffer, but it won't be the last. Cat Shaffer has the ability to write books, with characters that you feel and love.

Turquoise Morning Press is on fire with another blockbuster book in Cat Shaffer's Kentucky Blues, newly released this week.

Hotshot Kansas City realtor Elise Drummond makes a hasty trip back to her small Kentucky hometown when her brother informs her that their mother is living with a much younger man-Elise's old boyfriend Sam McCade. Elise has never entirely gotten over the town bad boy and she's determined that Sam doesn't break her mother's heart as he did hers. That's the teaser, in itself a

Dodie's Review

Cat Shaffer has done a fabulous job creating a complex cast of personalities in a small Kentucky town. As is often the case in small towns, the ties that bind the people together are tight, and complex. Elise Drummond grew up with Sam McCade, and they were high school sweethearts. Growing up, Sam McCade formed a close relationship with Hannah Drummond, Elise's mom. As Sam finds himself on the run, he returns to a place where he knows that he can trust the people, Brookville. Sam an
