Lies. Deceit. Backstabbing friends… Welcome to the jungle known as advertising…

Kat Owens can tell you all about the snake-infested world of big-time advertising. Thanks to an ex-best friend co-worker and a gone-wrong love affair with a client, she’s forced to leave her large Charlotte agency for a small-town coastal one. It’s do-or-die time to prove she can be a success to

I hate to admit it but I judged this book by its cover. I was expecting something supremely cheesy but was pleasantly surprised to find a well written, engaging and sensual story.

Marketing Rep Kat Owens is new in town and wants to make a name for herself at her new firm. Erik Montague is her client. He also happens to be the sex on a stick man she had a hot one night stand with a year ago. Awkward! When the two meet again he knows he wants a repeat of the night they shared a

4 solid stars for “Savin' Me” by Alannah Lynne, which follows the story of Kat Owens and Erik Monteague.

The story begins just as Kat relocates to a new town, after leaving her old advertising company. Little does Kat know that the gorgeous stranger she met in a bar eighteen months previous (and might I add, had an amazingly hot one stand with) also lives in her new town.

Trouble is it turns out that Erik is also one of Kat's new clients and the last thing Kat wants is some one night stand ruinin

Kat Owens didn't know what made her agree to a one night stand, but when she met Erik Monteague fell into one full heartily. A year later she has moved to a new city, new job, and new start. The last thing she expected to see was her one night stand who would like a repeat performance or one or two...

Erik doesn't do relationships, the one he had ten years ago taught him a valuable lesson. Never put you heart out where it can get wounded, when he spent the one night with Kat he wanted something m

Fall in love so easily with this great contemporary romance from Alannah Lynne. It’s my first read from this author, and I’ll be looking forward for the rest of the books in the Heat Wave Series.

It was suppose to be a one-night stand, or so Kat thinks. But for Erik, it was a whole lot more than that. Waking up alone, in an empty bed surprised him. He didn’t expect for the girl who shifted his world to run away while he was in deep slumber.

Kat Owens was trying to put her life together after a dev

Saving Me is the first book in the Heat Wave series by author Alannah Lynne and was previously titled Savin' Me. This is a contemporary romance that I went into completely blind and was pleasantly surprised by just how much I enjoyed reading it. The story itself may start off as one filled with light-hearted humor, but there's more than meets the eye. The lead characters have their own sets of issues, she with her family hang-ups and he mo

"Savin' Me" by Alannah Lynne was a good contemporary romance that was really a good read. This was a story of learning to' trust and over come insecurities,' I enjoyed this author writing style with allowing the reader to be brought into the story. Who knew that from a one night stand... I think a lot of women can relate to Kat. Strong, determined, but ultimately, working really hard for something they really don't want. Kat pushed herself to impress others, and when she was honest with herself, she really didn't like her job. (Boy, can I relate to that!!!)

Kat and Erik had a pretty easy fling and they were both really likeable. :)

The back and forth yo-yo of desire/love and rejection/grief in this story was hard to take at times, but that might be because I emotionally invested in stupid jerky Erik Monteague. I totally understand not being about to choose your family and horrible selfish a$$hole relatives can totally get a person down and make them do stupid things. I liked Kat Owens, she was a cool sexy fun woman that knew what she wanted in a guy, even if she wasn't too clear about her professional career until the end ...more

One of the major rules governing a one-night-stand is no emotional connection, entailments, or ties. This rule ensures no chance of future entanglements. Once the night was shared, hedonistic pleasures enjoyed, and meaningless sex performed, the two consenting partners could go their own way and live the rest of their lives, with sweet memories and nothing more.
Erik Monteague, the owner of Monteague Boats, is a confirmed bachelor and infamously known for his lothario lifestyle, had a one-night-

Reading this book I would say: there are no longer the good one-night stand, it's only a myth, seriously the protagonists start out with good intentions of enjoying a healthy adventure, but our dear Cupid loves throwing his arrows.

One step away from the coveted Vice Presidency of her firm, the last thing Kat Owens needs is the distraction of a man. Her client, Erik Monteague, disagrees. He’s charming, sexy, seductive, and impossible to ignore or refuse. After succumbing to his advances, Kat’s fo

Oh how I liked this book, it made me giggle..a lot. Now let me tell you most likely the main reason why I liked this book, the sexual innuendos. Yep you read that right lol. The overall story line conveyed immediate interest for me and I liked the characters from the start. They were nicely described and had enough personality to get me to want good things to happen for them. And that is about it for what I liked

This is a typical Contemporary Romance. Very little drama/angst, a simple story line/plot and a HEA tied up in a pretty bow. And after a few intense reads this was a breath of fresh air. Every now and then I need something just a little steamy that makes my heart smile.

He worked hard and loved his friends and his sweet cute fugly dog. Kat was strong willed, stubborn and fun. She just moves to town determined to not be a disappointment to her family.
