I wish it was possible to read these books without picking up the very dark vibes. I always have a problem with that and I don't think I would be out of context to that I am very psychic and I have learned over the years that words on a page, images and numbers give off frequency vibrations. Peter is a genius at sythesizing all of this information and writing about it in an intriging and stylish way. It is all fascinating, very disturbing and important information if you want understand the worl ...more

Peter Levenda wraps up his epic trilogy on the nature and operations of coincidence/synchronicity, "black magic" (i.e. the power of the Image combined with eros) in modern culture and politics, mind control, the CIA, Nazis, Charles Manson, Jim Jones, et al. and brings his thesis home in a virtual cacophony of coincidence and conspiracy that doesn't strain credulity when taken in context with all of the preceding work in the trilogy (with the exception of the last chapter of Sinister Forces: A Wa ...more

Recommends it for: True Crime fans, tin foil hat wearers.
Sprawling, paranoid, occult-obsessed, conspiracy-theorizing, and grosly entertaining.

A powerful book. Not for those not initiated in conspiracy fact. Levenda grabs the dark thread that winds through American history and he tries to untangle it so it can be examined in the stark light of day. It's a hard book to review.

One facet of the tread is the significante influence the Nazi cult had on the American intellegence agencies, military/space programs, and politics. It is documented, it is starteling, and it is suppressed.

He also addresses the pervasive facination with the occult

See my review for Sinister Forces book one, The Nine.

While Lavenda falls for the same traps that he claims Maury Terry fell for in "The Ultimate Evil", the first two thirds of this book are intriguing and help add to the picture of the occult in America. However, the final hundred and fifty pages of this grimoire produced grunts and migraines from this reader. The problem is Levenda not only attempts to explore the issue of coincidence with a limited number of specialists and then goes on to follow that with a proclamation that souls exist. What, ...more

As a Christian, I do not engage in occult activities. However, I do believe that we should keep ourselves informed about occult activities that have infiltrated and corrupted our political process.

This is the third volume in a three-volume work in which Peter Levenda continues his investigation of occult involvement in politics begun in Unholy Alliance: A History of Nazi Involvement With the Occult.

As with Levenda's other books, this one is well researched, and if I were rating the book on resea

Finally, the conclusion!

After wading through the somewhat boring murkiness of Book II, I have to say I was anxious about this final book. Anxiety fell way to comfortable appreciation, as Mr. Levenda's immediate plunge into the analysis of ritual and alternative beliefs of magicians/cultists left me awash with warmer waters. Being a practitioner of sorts and scholar of various studies of thought, I found this writing much easier to consume. Even the explanation of quantum physics relating to the

This is a three-volume book on the potentially dangerous intersection of entertainment/pop-culture (mostly) and politics. Levenda tracks this trend from the earliest days of America to the present, showing how the government has either become a victim of "pop-culture" hysteria or has used pop-culture to forward its own agenda, all the while potentially tapping into a greater force that it did not account for. It's not as well organized as his other books, but if you want a glimpse at politics fr ...more

Thoughtful, disturbing

Legends reexamines the familiar events of American history through an occult, alchemical lens. His carefully researched discourse leads one to wonder whether history is a chaotic cascade of causes or something more engineered, something more sinister. A very good read.

Amazing Outlook

This is the 3rd volume of Sinister Forces. In this 3rd, Peter continues to open one's eyes to the hidden facet of history that is almost non existent anywhere else.
Highly recommend all three volumes with an open mind that will open your eyes as well. It guides you through a history that you thought you knew but never really took a closer look.
