A mix of essays and primary sources for each latin american region. it details each historical period in chronoligical order and presents each history with a reality never presented within normal (american) history courses.

A dry, dull book which is really only interesting if you particularly like academic articles on Latin America. However, there did seem to be a good variety of articles chosen.
