I have a love for the flush deck destroyers, don't fully know why but I do. I decided to pick this book up to see what CDR Alden had to say about them. I expected a general history of the class and got a little more than that. There's some good details in here telling about the services these vessels performed and the general modifications made to them. Something that I really loved was that CDR Alden covered the Honda Point disaster, something that I've read somewhat about but not with the clarity provided here. Other items I loved included the continuing story of each of the vessels and the photographs (makes the book worth it on its own). A great addition to your library.
