4 1/2 Stars ~ Jane's life began five months ago when she was found wandering in the mountains with only the clothes she wore. Without a memory of who she is or where she may have come from, Jane is befriended by the waitresses at the local diner. Her friend Angie takes her in as a roommate, and helps her get a job at the diner. When she sees the man in the stetson who can't seem to take his eyes off her, Jane knows that her life is about to be shaken up again; only this time it seems it's her pa ...more

Paula Graves is an excellent author. With this book she writes in a style that lets you feel the strong emotions that Jane, and Joe are going though. This book pulled at my heart. I never want to know what it is like to lose my memory like Jane did. Reading the pages of this book I could feel Jane’s pain, and frustrations on trying to figure out who she was before. I loved the romance in the later chapters between Joe, and Jane. I loved this book, and would recommend it to all.

I was pleasantly surprised to discover that series romances have come a very long way since I read them several decades ago. This story deftly ensnared my attention with its combination of suspense and romance that gradually escalate until the exciting final showdown. Ms Graves does a wonderful job of conjuring the contrasting world of advanced technology and small town life and her characters are intriguing and personable. This was a great quick read that had plenty of depth and I wi
The mystery of Jane was excellent. You knew she had a past with Joe and he was being too patient to be true. The men in her life weren't that nice with the exception of Thomas and, of course, Joe but she overcame that reality; it paralleled wonderfully with the seemingly hurtful women in Joe's life. The villain was well done because I wanted to shoot him myself and I'm glad he met his comeuppance. A fast, exciting read where, of course, in the end, love prevailed.

I was raised in Alabama, so I know we Southerners don't hide our crazy people—we showcase them. Eccentric people make for the best stories, and we Southerners do love our stories. The need to tell stories has been a driving force in my life from childhood.

As a girl, my favorite books were mysteries and romances. When I realized there were books that featured both romance and mystery, I knew I'd fo
