Choppy, but interesting

The heroine is shy and relationship averse. The hero persistent and forgiving. They come together in the end, begrudgingly.

Ther are some frustrations along the way. The basis of the heroine's aversion is alluded to, but not explained sufficiently to justify her fear of male intimacy. The book could use another grammar edit.

These ae minor quibbles. The characters are alive and interesting. Good read.

Decent follow-up

This is the second book in the Up in Flames series by Ms Devin. I really loved book one and was super excited to read book two. The storyline was decent. I was totally rooting for Ky all the way. Serena just kept throwing up roadblock after roadblock and really I couldn't understand why. She said her brothers and family were over protective and that is why she left her home town. But there were only small glimpses into the relationship so it was really hard for me to discern if t
I just thought Book 2 was way boring.

I came across mistakes and at one time she was called Sabrina. It's like the story was just written with the feelings in it. I didn't like how Serena was portrayed. I felt like she didn't fit Ky. I don't know the story just didn't capture me all that much but I managed to finish it. I think Book 2 should have just been about Corey cause he was more in the picture of Book 1.

Desperately needs an editor. Not only for the many many typo's but for the poorly written sentence construction in several parts. The story line is cute, and the ending is well thought out, but the middle needs work. I don't feel them falling in love...they avoid eachother alot, so I'm not sure how they actually develop feelings. Overall it was a cute story, but it needs some work.

I loved the first book and was looking forward to this one.
Although the characters are good, the story is a little rushed especially the end, would've loved to have seen it get dragged out a little bit more and watch their love grow.

I love hockey romances. This one was ok but the writing seemed a bit choppy at times.

like the story, do NOT like the format (novella)...too short to do story justice. Rest of the series rocks and you can skip this without any problem.
