Very good overall quality. Please keep in mind that this manga is in Japanese and that there may be some slight yellowing due to the age of the paper. Please feel free to ask us any questions you may have.

Phantom Blood introduces us to the world of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, and what an incredibly bizarre world it is!
Jonathan Joestar is a gentle young nobleman with a kind heart and good intentions. He vows to use his father's inheritance for good deeds and devotes himself to a life of virtue and selflessness. Everything changes when his father adopts the son of a dead man that once saved his life. Young Dio Brando wears the facade of a gentle nobleman just like Jonathan, but beneath this facade lies a power-hungry sociopath that abuses his step brother behind closed doors and seeks to overthrow Jojo's father to steal his inheritance for himself. A deadly rivalry that's been in the making for over a thousand years sparks to life as the conflict between Jonathan and Dio escalate to supernatural heights.
Phantom Blood is essentially a giant prologue to the actual meat and bones of the JoJo universe. It's written like an Agatha Christie Victorian murder mystery, but with a crazy fusion of thematic elements from the historical paranormal horror of The Mummy, the brute force action sequences of Conan the Barbarian, and the supernatural martial arts of Fist of the North Star and Dragon Ball Z. This was a weird and fun story with a few genuinely shocking horror moments with a nice balance of romance, comedy and explosive action. I also like how it draws real historical figures into the story like Jack the Ripper and the knights of Queen Mary Stuart.
The writing definitely shows its age. I've heard a lot of people say that Phantom Blood is the weakest story arc in the whole series and doesn't do a great job representing the series as a whole, and so far I can see where they're coming from. The characters are ridiculously over the top which makes them exotic and fun, but most of them have little depth. The lore of the story is very interesting, but the actual plot of the series itself so far leaves a lot to be desired.
I look forward to seeing how much better the future arcs of this series hopefully are.
Another fun one, and I still love the ultra stylized artwork. Sometimes it’s hard to understand what’s going on in a frame though because it’s so busy visually. The story is insane as always, and always engaging. Looking forward to the next one!
god i forgot how much i fucked with jonathan’s story. he’s just a good hearted man (who’s also hot!!) nah but RIP THE BARON. he did good … AND NOW ITS TIME FOR DIOOOOOOOO
… and ofc shoutout to SPEEDWAGON

J'accroche moins.
Before they can face Dio, Jonathan and Zeppeli must defeat Bruford and Tarkus, zombified knights whose strength will test the power of ripples in newfound ways - but surviving the force of these two ancient heroes will require desperate risks and great sacrifice...Araki ramps up the action with a brutal entry, brimming with hardcore energy throughout. Can Jo prove his training against such renowned warriors before Dio grows too powerful, just out of reach?
I don't think this author is good at drawing. Because: 1. Most of the characters look the same (I have difficulty telling people apart) 2. The author makes his characters (mostly Speedwagon) explain what's going on instead of drawing it clearly
This book is thrilling right up until the end. The development behind the main character, Jonathan, is astounding and you can tell he is different by the end of the book. From a young spoiled boy who has everything he could want to fight for what little life he has. The antagonist was amazing, it is hard to truly find a villain as evil as Dio, and the things he did to get where he wanted was horrible. A true villain. The plot was a bit strange, but it was a good strange. You hardley notice the weridness of it all by the time you finsih the story. You get lost in the family fued between two brothers to even notice the undead rising, vampires, and even Jack the Ripper! If you are looking for something strange, yet brutal, to read, then I highly siggest this book. It is great, and even if you do not like it, I am sure it will stay in your brain for years to come.
