It was difficult to rate this book because I found the hero sexy as hell but hard to like and that just took away my enjoyment of the book.

I was looking for a nice interracial romance to sink my teeth into when I saw this amazing cover and I simply couldn't resist!

My impression of Nick Sinclair and Lainey Parks.

The story begins when Laney decides to go on her long awaited Caribbean cruise after catching the man she thought she wanted to spend the rest of her life with cheating on her with

The writing on this one was good, but frankly, I was disappointed in the heroine for falling for the hero here. He's such a jerk that he goes out of his way to seduce her and then blames her for his own actions. He actually even considers raping her at one point. Why is that ok?! The Hero is a horny bastard who was just such a creep that I really didn't get any joy from seeing the couple together.

I don't know what I was hoping for on this contemporary. The sex scenes were steamy (when they were

Description: After she catches her boyfriend cheating, overworked Laney Parks decides to take a cruise by herself. It just so happens that the CEO of her company, Nick Sinclair, is on the cruise and needs her to pretend to be his wife!

The Good: Well, the sex was extremely top-notch. Ms. Ashley does “my head’s telling me no, but my body’s telling me yes” very well. Also, the premise is stellar and that cover is to die for. Ms. Ashley could probably make a lot of money designing covers for other w
My Review:

The Plot:

Not many are brave enough to take a romantic Caribbean vacation cruise all alone, not unless you're Laney Parks and you've just caught your two-timing, scumbag of a now ex-boyfriend having sex with another woman. But it's better to forge ahead and wallow in your sad self pity while simultaneously getting a tan, right? Well it's a good plan right up until Laney runs into her boss and an offer she can't refuse: pose as his wife and receive not only the promotion of a lifetime, b
I was really digging this book at first. Laney was relatable. Nick was a major a-hole. It was fun for a little bit.

The premise was intriguing, so I was eager to learn how Laney, who had been in a long-term relationship and looking forward to being proposed to on a Caribbean cruise, ended up with Nick. Because Nick's a major a-hole. I wondered how they would maintain their ruse.

I loved how, despite catching her man in bed with another woman, she took her (stereotypical) gay male bestie's advice

Laney Parks is ready for a vacation with her boyfriend on a Caribbean cruise that guarantees romance at every port. Unfortunately, fate has a taken its course and Laney is embarking on her dream vacation alone, putting her in the direct path of her boss and his own schemes. Nicolas Sinclair, her gorgeous boss, is offering her a promotion and a hefty cash advance for posing as his wife during the 10 day cruise. Seeing the advantage to being out from under her current supervisor, Laney is willing ...more

Maybe I went into this book with my expectations too high, or maybe I'm just over the Harlequin Presents-type asshole hero who woos his woman with his jerky behavior and low opinion of her, and then completely wins her over with his terrible behavior. So Nick was just like that, but worse, because I didn't know that this was going to be that type of book and hadn't braced myself. This book wasn't terrible, but I just couldn't really connect very well with either of the two main characters or inv ...more

I loved this story and the steamy scenes are hot af. I loved the characters and the back and forth about whether they loved each other.
I have no idea how to rate this.

The plot was ridiculous. Hell, half of the scenarios the h/H found themselves in were ridiculous. 80% of the book was Tell and of the 20% that was Show, all of it was dialogue between the h/H or sex. I got pretty damn tired of being told how witty, charming, intelligent, ladylike etc, etc, the heroine was when her actions painted an entirely different picture. The "hero" acted like an idiotic, hormone driven 16 year old who doesn't understand the word NOinstead o

This story is not a stranger to lots of IR readers. I have heard nothing but praise for what an excellent read this book is. So I finally got it. Its Nicolas and Laney's story. This was a good read but I have to say I found the ending of the story torturous. Nick's exes were showing up at ill-timed moments and upsetting the apple cart with Laney and her ex and another suitor were complicating things between Laney and Nick. I thought that part was way to drawn out and spoiled MY PERSONAL enjoymen ...more

Definitely a HOT & SPICY read...Nick, the hero, is quite ANNOYING about a TOTAL made me wonder what Laney could possibly see in him...but it was still a fast-paced read...that kept me turning the pages to see how the SCRIPT would turn out for this couple...and Nick redeemed himself SOMEWHAT in the end...the time on the cruise with the other couples was very ENTERTAINING...overall not a TOTALLY bad read...and I'll probably give Ms. Ashley another read.

At some points in this book it could get exhausting. All the fighting between the two was tiresome but when Nick realizes he was ment for Laney then it picked up. It's not a very realistic story but entertaining to say the least. Give it a try.
3.5, típico libro para pasar un buen rato que no profundiza demasiado en los sentimientos de los protas sobre todo al final pero la historia está bien contada y me lo leí de un tirón.

An ocean current of steamy hot seduction twisting and turning yet leaving you longing for more.

Ashley has a easy on the eye writing style which give you the sensation of being right in the story with the characters. Only one word describes this book "Hot." Love Script starts out in an office in an art department where Laney the main character seems to lead a typical boring work life. Her supervisor Mary-Knight pushes her work off on Laney then takes credit for it while Laney works herself to the

This IR book was a good read for summer. It's the story of Nick Sinclair, an overly driven business executive and Laney Parks, a young entry level employee who is not only dealing with a boss who takes advantage of her, but a fiancee who leaves much to be desired. Nick finds himself in a very sticky situation (of his own making) and offers Laney a deal that she feels would be worth the deception that she would have to participate in. The story moves smoothly and the characters are likable and be ...more
3.5stars I actually really, really liked this book. I loved the author's writing style, she had my emotions going as much as she had Laney's. At one point I even cried, I was that devastated for the destruction of their temporary ship. But, there were just things that disturbed me and too many questions left unanswered for me to give it the full 5 stars. I didn't get why Nick was such a womanizing slut. It was never really shown why he fell so in love with Laney. I mean, I felt their connection, ...more

This was a good book. It was fun and light. I liked Laney and I liked Nick. It was an interesting premise. The only thing that was a little over-the-top was when Laney spilled her birth control pills on the counter. I've never not known birth control pills to not come individually encased in plastic. But oh well, how was she to then get pregnant? Surprisingly Nick did not come off as an asshole to me. He was honest. He was a playboy and was upfront with Laney. It was nice to see him develop thos ...more

I like the storyline however I wished it could have been a little more realistic toward the end. things that bothered me was there is no way someone can fall in love in 10 days and want to get married ASAP and the killer was how the main character used no condoms with her boss who suppose to be the utimate player. i think that disgusted me espcially bc she got pregnant so fast from losing her birth control pills in the sink. anyhoo it could have been 5 stars if it had more depth but otherwise no ...more

A very well written book with scorching hot sex.

I didn't really like Nick our hero, he was an arrogant jerk and a callous womanizer who never redeemed himself.

Our heroine, Laney, all that crying was just OTT, she also needed to grow a backdone. I didn't like her in the beginning but I warmed up to her in the end.

I wanted a better epilogue, the one we got was too close to the ending of the story. I wanted to see more of what their home life together was like and maybe have an actual wedding.

4 stars. This book had me hooked from the beginning was enticing between Nick and Laney. But in the cruise they knew they wanted each other. But both were stubborn not wanting to confess their feelings. Nick knew what he wanted and finally he went after it.
I didn't believe he loved her at the end, he was still interested in other women. I was rushed and messy. Would have rated 4 star, the writing was excellent. However, I didn't like the fact he was with other women after he became interested in H.
Fuyooh this one one hell of a hot read LOL
I love the way the story went although you know the ending going to be like, i can't help but love it LOL. I do feel the story was slightly rushed at the end and also the male had a stronger errr "effect/Stand" in the story ....otherwise IT WAS HOT

Tiffany Ashley is amazing. She knows how to incorporate good humor into a story without making it cheesy. I really enjoyed this book. I am recommending this one to all my friends.
