Mario Linkies was born in 1963 in Leipzig. He studied finance, banking, foreign trade at Berlin Humboldt University. In 1989, he escaped Eastern Germany via Hungary. In 1994, Mario Linkies immigrated to the Canadian Province of Ontario. Today, Mario is an entrepreneur and works as management consultant, supervisory board member and author. He has published several books in English, German, and Japanese. Besides these, the author has written hundreds of poems, fables, short stories and other texts that have arisen during his travels in over 80 countries. The artist works also as a poet, photographer, painter, and musician. He is a member of the Society for Contemporary Poetry Association in Leipzig, supports many charity organizations such as the Lions Club. He lives in Oakville, Canada and Leipzig, Germany.
