Based on the title, I expected a narrative that described the typical hardships associated with the experience of being a slave. Instead, the author proselytizes throughout her autobiography while repeatedly overused words such as “lovely”, “dear” and other flowery vocabulary. I would say I was extremely disappointed in the content and lack of organization of the author’s thoughts.

difficult to understand

This book doesn't make much sense. It gets off track and then you can't tell what is going on in the story.
