I love this book which I bought second hand after I bought a soup maker. I have to say there is a soup recipe for everybody in it. If you love soup and you want to eat different variations of soup, buy this book. Great photo's and good explanation of the recipe, but also where it came from. A must have for a soup lover!

I've only made two of the soups so far, but I am highly impressed. I made the North African Spiced Soup and the Cream of Red Pepper. Both were great and ones I will make again. There is a wide variety of soups many using more ethnic ingredients. Each recipe has its own photo and usually photos of some of the steps along the way. Instructions are easy to understand and even the more "complex" soups are easy to make. I would recommend this for vegetarians, too. Unless it has meat or seafood, most soups can be adapted. It is a gorgeous book and would make a great gift.

Note to future self, when choosing a cookbook to read, don't pick one that only has one type of dish. Soup recipes get really repetitive. On top of that, this was not very well organized and tended to repeat information.

Just bought this book and am already cooking from it. Oh! What's not to love about soup. And this book does it well. Beautiful step-by-step pics and great recipes from around the world.

I bought this book a few years ago and it has become my "go-to" book for soup making. Every recipe I have tried has been delicious, there are photos of every soup and many of the prep too.
