Three stories, each a diary entry of three different young girls. One amateur war nurse, one french girl and a little girl from London. I really enjoyed this book however, it was not too challenging of a read. I did like the contrast of the three lives, with the French girl living in her small town compared to the big city Londoner. An enjoyable book that I recommend.

three stories written by different authors about young women and their experiences during the war. a good way for young readers to learn about these events. The 'My Stories' series are very good books for young people to read and learn about different times and events in our history.

i think the book was good at showing us some of the horrors of the war and that it affected average citizens as well, who had dont nothing worng

I loved catching the bus to school and back home because it meant i had a chance to read this book. I Loved the main characters and i cant pick a favourite between war nurse or sophie's secret war.
