Midnight Kisses is the reawakening story of Daniel and Renee. Daniel lost his wife and daughter and completely abandoned his remaining family instead of turning to them for support. Renee was left at the altar although if the author explained why I must've missed it.

Each of them uses their loveless lives performing public service with children. Daniel is portrayed as complicated but he really wasn't that complex. He was simply a man still grieving. Though he was a minister at the time of hiss loss, he does the unthinkable and turns away from God. I think the author introduced so many elements into the story that it ended up removing the focus. While it wasnt necessary to divulge Mason 's parentage it seems it was the authors way of indicating Daniel' s self discovery about all the relationships in his life including his reverence for his dad.

There was just a little too much going on with Daniel.

Loved MIDNIGHT KISSES and loved the cover. Daniel lost his wife and daughter in a car accident. Renee was left at the alter. Daniel and Renee meet one another and both have a very strong attraction. Together they learn to heal and love again. This is a excellent romance novel. I will highly recommend this to all book clubs and readers.
