A series introducing young children to popular pet animals and explaining how to look after them, from keeping them clean to taking them to the vet. It teaches responsibility, and this title covers how to choose, house, feed, train and play with a rabbit.
Very basic pet ed book for beginning readers. Happily, it discusses how quickly unspayed rabbits can multiply and the need to have them altered to prevent this. A "Notes for Parents" reminds adults that they will be responsible for a pet rabbit's expenses and the majority of everyday care; it also re-emphasizes the need for altering.
Unfortunately, the text also states that a rabbits hutch can be kept "indoors or outdoors," and doesn't differentiate between the appropriateness of the two.
