The Archie New Look Series tells dynamic stories of the Archie gang in a more realistic style by some of comics' best storytellers.
The good news is that Archie's dad got a big promotion... the bad news is that Archie and his family will have to leave Riverdale! Betty is crushed when she learns that Archie is moving away.
With only a few weeks left before Archie leaves town, will Betty finally get to tell him how she feels, or will Veronica swoop in and steal the last kiss? ... Is Archie really saying "Goodbye Forever"?
A more realistic take on Archie while still keeping some of the original humor. I enjoyed the flashback moments and the use of color to emphasize certian elements or characters. I also enjoyed the over al message of family & friendship as more important than money & status.

This story has been done before in Archie Comics, so I did have higher hopes for this book. Mainly I had hoped for an ending that would actually follow through and bring a small touch of realism to a usually cartoon world. My disappointment is small, however, compared to the emotional response I have in seeing these characters and their town explored this way. Morgan really knows how to tap into a reader's feelings. Norm Breyfogle's art here is wonderful and doesn't really look like his usual style.
