A lot of the patterns are out of date, even for the year it was published. I don’t know anyone that likes granny squares. There are a few patterns that are still nice, though. One thing that I would like to see updated is the fact that the yarn size isn’t given for each project. It only gives the exact yarn that they use. I then have to google yarn that is most likely discontinued just to get the size. I rarely use the same yarn called for, just the same size to get the correct gauge.
