It was very interesting reading some of Austen’s earliest fictional writings, particularly seeing the familiar names and themes that she would later work into her novels.

It was really interesting to see Jane Austen's writings from when she was younger.
You can really tell some of the similarities and differences from these to her popular published novels.
I knocked it down a half star because, even though they were letters, there was nothing conclusive ending to them, and I would have loved if they did.
If you haven't read/listened to these, I would highly recommend doing so!
Avevo già letto questo divertente saggio di "esercizi di stile" nella raccolta completa delle 'Opere giovanili'. Ma in questa versione, in tutta calma, ho potuto meglio apprezzare gli abissi di monelleria della giovane Jane Austen.

I am pleased I've read this Short Book, but the Characters in the letters did not really engage me, nor was there much information to be gleaned about the social niceties of the time ..

These are interesting collection, a bit more dramatic I think than her published novels. But it's interesting, especially to see a rough idea for Sense and Sensibility. As always the prose is lovely to read, but as they are just letters it's hard to be invested in any of them, but they make a nice read.

This one was a hodge-podge collection, as the title implies, and it wasn't all that long, but it was fun to go through. I definitely adore Ms. Austen's style.
