I'm on the fence about Zoe Mellor's books. Her designs are nice and fairly simple for the most part but they're a little too mainstream and ordinary for me. She loves to play with color and almost every pattern in the collection calls for at least two colors of yarn. She's good at color at least, I do like her combinations, but I don't like knitting in multiple colors as much, I prefer texture from stitching.
That said, this is definitely one of her better books. I can see myself making at least two patterns in this book and there are several more I would consider. I'm even thinking of purchasing it some day. I particularly like a cabled hoodie and the cover sweater. There's also a sampler afghan I really like but it's mostly fair isle and that leaves ladders on the back side, which makes for disaster when little fingers and toes get caught. (If you're familiar with the method of wrapping the yarn as you go so you don't get those ladders, then this is a great project, but that method is more time-consuming and I think it uses more yarn.)
One last caveat: The last Zoe Mellor book I reviewed (Knitted Toys 25 Fresh & Fabulous Designs) had lots of errors in the patterns. Another reviewer said that is common for her books, so I wouldn't recommend this for a newbie.
This is a good book for a mainstream knitter who likes pastels and color changes.

Had this book years and made the Pirate jumper in the past. Just come back to it to make the blue green white star jumper featured on the front to use up mercerised cotton yar. It made me remember that there are definitely mistakes in the patterns in this book as a couple of reviews point out. If you're an experienced knitted you can probably work around these but very annoying for a beginner.
The projects and pics are very nice though and it contains a range of intarsia, cable, simpler graphic looks and techniques.

Just okay. Slightly dated.

I have made several projects from this book and the instructions are easy to follow. The title of the book says it all - the patterns are indeed adorable knits for tiny tots. The only reason I did not give this book 5 stars is that the suggest yarns are difficult to find and I had a difficult time finding comparable alternatives.

Love the designs in this, many tempting projects. Would be worth owning as resource for the babies and tots in my life.
Some of the projects could be made in the round instead of having to do all the seaming.

Some quite pretty knits most of which feature colour patterns, some feature cables. Cute but the recommended yarns are pretty impractical for children. Most of the designs are pretty timeless. Still many of the patterns could be considered a bit fussy for some.

I love this book, it is enjoyable to look through and get ideas from. I've knit the mittens and they always turn out great. There are a lot of patterns I want to knit but just havent gotten to yet.

I love the patterns but watch out for mistakes! Be sure to google the pattern first to search for those errors.

So cute! So many cute things to make-the only problem is that they all look way easier than they actually are. So sad for me.
