Well I didn't read the graphic novel but rather the novel itself which I couldn't find on Goodreads. Fine.
I liked this book! Burroughs is so inconsistent in quality you never know. He revels in creating a world and inhabiting with the creatures and situations from his vivid imagination. In these books--the early Mars books, the early Venus books, many of the Tarzan books, The Mad King--you can almost feel his unbridled glee. That is when he is at his best.
And that is when, like this time, I can't wait to read the next one.
