I received the following review for DINGO from author and teacher Rob Ficiur over the weekend.
I read DINGO to a unique group of students. While they are avid readers, they have little interest in the science fiction or fantasy genres. In fact, over the years they have told me they think fantasy books are a waste of paper (sorry, Star Wars).

It's an interesting idea, and once the action moves to Cornwall, England it picks up a bit, but it's too long, and has some weird tangents.
Zach is a more or less normal fifteen year old who has to deal with his mother. One night, he crashes in a barn after driven out of his house. He's not the only one who is there; a bedraggled man has tresspassed on his friend's property. He leaves behind an odd, possibly alive box.
Once he is tracked down, the eccentric man reveals himself as Hunter, inventor ...more

DINGO is a quick, fun fantasy adventure for middle grade to Young Adult readers. It starts out in Minter's Poll Connecticut and moves to England with a team full of four teens on a mission to help save US citizens from terrorist attack.
