Good Night Sun, Hello Moon is a children’s book that deals with the daily process of day changing into night and along with that bedtime for main character in the story Little Bunny. The story is written by Karen Viola and is a Reader’s Digest Children’s Book sold in hardcover. The book is a flip style format which shows the sun slowly changing into the moon as each page is turned.

The illustrator Chi Chung uses magic realism and sets the story in a sunny meadow that is full of different shades

This is a beautiful book. The board pages are cut so that each reveals the next. The first page is of the sun and each succeeding page moves the story and the picture through sunset to the moon at night. Flip the book over and the moon slowly gives way to dawn and sunrise. Its a board book, meant for little ones, but I bought one for myself its so beautiful.

I love the format of this book, the wonderfully cut pages that change sun from moon as the story goes along. Unfortunately, the words and story leave much to be desired. The writing is just not for me.

Dear Readers:
What a lovely blurb!
How often do parents try to coach their child/children to bed of a night?
Presenting this in a novel way through a bunny is so sweet, playful even.
You must read it!

A wonderful bedtime book! Adorable art. This novelty flip book shows the sun setting and the moon rising as each page is turned. Love it!

This is a good book to teach students about times of day and the importance of sleep. It also enforces following rules that parents make.

despite the fact that a sun smiling and a moon grinning is mentally disturbing, this book is ok.

Adorable story, even if Little Bunny spends the entire tale begging for things.

The transition through dusk is beautifully handled, both by the primary storyline and the flipped illustrations.
