This audio book is read really well with good expression. The Shakespeare stories are much easier to understand than reading the originals. It would be good for people who would like to know the substance of the plays, but don't want the challenging language of the original, although there may be some quotes that are close to the original language, but on the whole it is easy to understand. There was a good continuity in the choice of including Richard II, King Henry IV Part 1 and 2, and The Merry Wives of Windsor together in the book.

The stories/plays included in this audio book are:

Julius Caesar
The Merchant of Venice
The Taming of the Shrew

King Henry IV Part 1
King Henry IV Part 2
The Merry Wives of Windsor
