I went to the KU journalism school, so I had heard Bremner's name (and of this book) for a long time. I regret not reading it sooner, but it is pretty outdated in places.

My mentor, a highly regarded editing professor at the University of Kansas, would likely haunt me if I did not post a rave review. He made a good choice not to call this etymology gem "Sumpsimus Mumpsimus."
