Set in the late Victorian age, Brimble pens a delightful romance about a woman looking for more and a man who will accept nothing less. Clare's Review

Desperate to escape the life her parents have planned for her, Elizabeth is given six months to make her way in the world as her own woman and becomes Lily the housemaid. Andrew's life is also mapped out for him, but is the last thing he wants to do. His new housemaid is unlike any woman he's ever come across, educated and doesn't believe in mincing her words.

Set in the UK this charming historical novel is a delight from one page to the next. The wonderful secondary cast add colou

This is a charming and delightful Regency Rom Com. Ms Brimbles characters are fun, if sometimes far-fetched. The conflict threaded contiuously from page 1 to the end.
If I had any nits, it was that I thought Elizabeth's parents would settle her much further away from their home. But the placement played an integral part in the plot.
This charming and funny book is one well worth picking up if you want a good, fun read.

The Arrival of Lily Curtis is a reasonably enjoyable historical romance despite it being not overly memorable.

The plot was interesting, though not complex, and mostly well executed; it was quite a pleasant surprise that the novel still managed to hold its readers’ attentions despite the fact that it lacked any form of plot twists or surprise revelations. However, it was perhaps a tad unbelievable that Lil
