Ten Little Zombies
When being chased by ten little zombies (no matter how cute they are), your only option is to systematically destroy them one by one, or else become zombie number eleven. In this love story wrapped in a tale of zombie mayhem, a resourceful couple flees from and picks off their undead pursuers with fast-paced ingenuity and an entertaining range of zombie-thwarting tools. As the zombies shuffle and stumble their way toward a variety of gruesome ends, our heroes must come up with new ways to escape sticky situations and stay together. This darkly funny illustrated tale--think Bunny Suicides meets Edward Gorey meets Hallmark--celebrates the romantic side of a zombie plague, with plenty of BRAINS and a lot of heart.

What a fun read to get me in the mood for my Halloween reading. I came across this one while doing my research trying to figure out what I want to read for this coming Spooky reading season. Yes, I love looking for reads to fit the season. It reminded me of Edward Gorey books, especially his The Gashlycrumb Tinies . Except this one is with zombies. It's a children's book, but I think it's a bit much for them. Kinda ghoulish. If you want a quick, funny read and you love zombies, check this one out. I read it a few times just for the laugh. A great way to get me in the mood for the season.

After reading this book in a Borders in about 5 minutes, if that, I have decided that if Borders (or any bookstore) wants to make money by selling this book, they should lock it up behind glass or keep it at the counter. Sorry for all the commas, I just love those little guys.
Anyway, in an effort to stick it to the man and the outrageous price of $9.99 for this book - I read it while killing time before I could see Cedar Rapids. (Good movie, by the way.) It did not take very long and I question this version's claim of 48 pages. I would say it was 12 tops.
It was cute and rhymed with proficiency. The best feature of the book is easily the illustrations (probably why the damn thing costs $10). I just love seeing a little zombie blood and one impaled upon a gate. It's a better picture than I paint here.
Now, I have easily surpassed the word count in the book, so this review shall end. In closing, don't buy the book unless you have a gift card and don't know what else to get, are able to rationalize paying more than $1 per page, get a really good deal, and/or love all things zombies. However, it is definitely worth reading while killing time in a bookstore. Bookstore is one word, right? Too lazy to look it up.

This is actually pretty good. It reads like a children's picture book, but it's not really for kids (it's pretty graphic). The twist at the end was cute.
There's not much more to say about this. It provided a few minutes of amusement. Ghastly, gory amusement...

Husband left this for me as a present when he went to the scout jamboree. He knows how much I love zombies and this book showed me how much he loves me! Win-Win!!!

Authors of children's books today are stuck in a rut. Far too many of them rely on blasé story lines, strained rhyme schemes, and overused animal stereotypes. Enter "Ten Little Zombies". Not only can you help your child learn basic counting skills, but you can also teach them the importance of relationship building and lay the foundation for building rudimentary survival skills in a post-cataclysmic zombie apocalypse. This book is a breath of fresh air in a genre that is definitely stale. A must have for any conscientious adult that has any type of contact with impressionable children.

This is a fun little read. For some reason I have been killing time at work looking for parody children's books and I came across this one for .99$ on Kindle. Well my love of Zombies and anything funny caused me to buy it. I probably should have left it be, because it is a picture book for grown ups and I read it in under a min, but the laughter I got out of it really brightened my day. As a father who has read these types of books over and over to my own child, I really got a kick out of this Parody.
There is only a sentence or two on each page as the zombies are killed, I couldn't help but chuckle at the clever rhymes, and the kid like art work. I wouldn't recommend buying this for the list price of 9.95$ hardback or even 5.99 Kindle, but if you can grab it on sale it is worth the read. I am sure when my son gets old enough to appreciate zombie humor, (he's my kid, of course he will be as warped as I am) he will enjoy this just as much which will justify my whim purchase.

This was a joke present from my zombie-mad hubby (we watched Dawn of the Dead on our anniversary. No, really.) and I have to say I loved it. It is basically a cute (albeit in a horrific zombie type way) picture book with a dead good (lol see what I did there?) take on the old nursery rhyme. All the illustrations were done by the author. Cute!

What would you do if ten little zombies were after you? Would you fight or take flight? Seek shelter til they pass or come out guns a blazin'? Our little Kevin has just this dilemma when four zombies come a knockin'...but wait! Isn't the title "Ten Little Zombies" What happened to the other six? Uh-oh. O_O
The quirky rhymes and curious illustrations provide lend readers an entertaining read to say the very least. In an otherwise black and white world, there is a predominant color that's serves it's purpose quite well....RED. It's very striking really, exploding right off the page. The technique used in both the illustrations creation and final presentation give it a "real" quality. Each little zombie has its own personality even in death, quite apparent from their assorted facial expressions. The blood droplets and splatters (as odd as this is to say) look fresh; they even have a sheen when you tilt the page that makes it appear as though they're merely sitting on top of the page not printed on it. It gives the book a creepy (but fun) aspect that keeps you turning the pages to see just what will happen next to both our crafty little hero and the mini-hoard following him intent on a snack of the brain-ish variety.
In short, a cautionary tale of the lengths that love will make you go....for better, or worse. Recommended for teen to adult readers. Happy reading!

I enjoyed this zombie book. The resolution of the classic zombie story dilemma, of what to do when you know your loved one is infected, was unique and unexpected. (Now I have read two zombie books.)

I personally loved this book. It appeals to a darker side. Though, I may not want my kids to own it. I purchased it for one of them, read it to them and decided to give it to my little brother instead. Some parents may think it is too dark for kids. It is a little gruesome, though I admit I laughed through the whole reading. It has a great twist at the end that I wasn't expecting. I still give it four star, despite the ickiness of it =)

Ok, given my little penchant for zombies, this book is fantastic!
A lovely couple must survive a zombie apocalypse by killing a one a zombie at the time. Very nice and extremely creative.

The illustrations in this book are cute. This is a quick read that will make you smile. I wish there was more rhythm but other than that it was fine.

Hay historias que no deberían legar a convertirse en libros, así directamente en plan formato árbol muerto. Tal vez como parte de una recopilación, tal vez tras algunos años de haber sido publicadas y tener gran éxito en una página de internet. Pero así, directamente, no le veo yo el sentido.
Ten little zombies es un cuento de pocas páginas que tiene menos texto que esta crítica, y que relata, con dibujos inicialmente para niños, al estilo de los diez negritos, una aventura en un escenario postapocalíptico.
Luego llegamos a cosas como ésta:
Al final hay un giro argumental imprevisto, pero se queda en una mera inclinación de comisura.
Lo dicho. Que no debería haber llegado a formato papel, pero que mola. Aquí un lector se ha dedicado a leernos el cuento, por si les interesa.

Literally like a 2 minute read, and I think it’s exactly what you’d expect from it - a cute, humorous, silly little thing that works well as a gag gift but exhausts its use almost immediately after. It did make me chuckle aloud so it gets points for that, but the art (which is kinda the main point) is not really my style so it’s a like but not a love for me.

Se los recomiendo para que lo lean ustedes o se lo regalen algún pequeño. Y aunque es un típico libro para niños que esta lleno de rimas y gráficos, lo encontré muy divertido y tierno.
