Collects alphabetically the people, places, and theories connected to the lingering mystery of Jack the Ripper; presents newly discovered information; and evaluates conflicting theories
Paul Begg is acknowledged worldwide as one of the leading authorities on the Jack the Ripper mystery. He has worked in newspapers, television and publishing. He has written extensively on Jack the Ripper, including Jack the Ripper: The Uncensored Facts, Jack the Ripper: The Definitive History and Jack the Ripper: The Facts. He is also the author of Into Thin Air, The Scotland Yard Files and Mary Celeste: The Greatest Mystery of the Sea. Paul was formerly the editor of the Ripperologist magazine and has appeared as an historical advisor on several television programmes.
Massive encyclopedia-format collection of everything written about JTR (the purportedly factual material at least), every suspect, every theory, and apparently anyone who was ever mentioned in the case files for any reason. AND their relatives. A tremendous resource.
A rather dry but fascinating guide to Jack the Ripper. I learned quite a few things I wasn't aware of. It was a bit of a disappointment that the Kindle addition doesn't include photos although many were published before. A great reference guide.
Superb volume very comprehensive and extensive information on the ripper case. Not for the casual reader, this is 580 page tome which at the time of printing (2010) was right up to date. Very detailed, this makes for excellent reference material by the experts in the field Begg, Fido and Skinner. Brilliant book.
An interesting read ...with everything and everyone ever connected to the ripper case.i found out alot i never knew.a must have for true crime /ripper /conspiracy fans
Nothing I didn't already know at this point, but still, I can't fault the authors for going into more detail than what is usually given in the typical documentaries on television.
