I went by the ISBN so this should be the right edition (Eighth if you were wondering). So far so good. I'm currently reading this for my English 1B class, which is basically a critical thinking course for English. I love the variety of stories and authors, both contemporary and classic.

I will say I'm a little disappointed with the definitions. If you are going to highlight a term there should be a proper description and context when first introduced. I sometimes have to wait three or four chapters til I finally get a proper explanation.

I read this back in the sixth form. I loved it so much, especially the poetry section. Definitely worth a read and available quite cheaply online.
