I see many things like that happening in romania too for instance so, like the author says, it's global. In Romania, few people actually did something to prevent things like this.Sexual predators preffer to predate good people rather than bad people(girls), because good girls are special. I've seen girls forced into cars , taken of the street in plain daylight, as well as nightime(sexual abuse, and/or trafficking, or simply because the kidnappers have no life and want to steal others'). we must be living the end-times, cuz people are increasingly wicked upon the face of the earth. Hang in there good people, your Reedeemer is close. For all people out there, who know of cases, i have a blog in which i would like to gather such information. The blog is http://fetedisparute.wordpress.com/

My stepmom asked all of the siblings in her and my Dad's family to promise to read this to arm ourselves. It was NOT a fun read, however I feel much more equipped to recognize suspicious behavior and I think having children makes this book a very valuable read. It is a book written by a local (Roch, NY) investigator of crimes against children and his case experience for over 20 yrs.

Again NOT a fun or feel good read, if anything it makes you paranoid of EVERYONE for awhile but overall I feel much better prepared for being a responsible and proactive parent regarding the subject instead of a reactive "it's too late" sort of stance.
