A great reference for authentic Vietnamese food. The emphasis is more on home cooking than on "restaurant dishes" ie fried rolls or banh cuon (which take ages to make), and it was written at a time when Vietnamese ingredients were harder to obtain than now (the recipes for Vietnamese pates are a little... surprising, as you can buy them in most Asian stores now). But it's definitely a keeper. Simple, good recipes.
